So you open a block of cheese and wrap the remainder in just enough foil. Next time you use the cheese, you unwrap it carefully, hack off a lump and then re-wrap it. But the foil doesn’t stretch round the cheese any more, despite there being a smaller volume to wrap.
Same applies to Easter eggs. What gives?
