“Here’s a good business proposition”, says a Microsoft honcho. “Let’s waste 5 billion pounds buying an Internet telephony company that’s losing money just so we can look cool and own some tech we didn’t develop.”
And then do nothing with it, destroy it or sell it a few years later, like usual?
More money than sense, that lot. Or is this just a pre-emptive strike at owning something so the competition can’t?
