What has become of calculator art in the Internet age? Is there a place for it any more?
I find it disheartening that the predominantly school-based art of typing a sequence of digits into a calculator’s 7-segment display, turning the machine upside down and showing the amusing spelling to someone on an adjacent table is in decline.
Is the incessant march of technology likely to blame for the rise of 71077345
and lack of 5318008
in the world today?
