When I were a lad, 48KB was a lot. Heck, before that, my first computer was a Commodore Vic20 which had just 5KB of RAM, and I thought I was the cat's mittens when I got a 16KB RAM pack for Christmas.
Nowadays, storage and memory is cheap which has bred a crop of wasteful programmers. Next time you write an app, please select the amount of RAM and hard disk space of your destination device, or the minimum requirements of the game / app. Then click Was worth and be astounded at how many of these old concepts you’d need to pack into a room to achieve similar capacity.
