Pandas prefer to live alone. They eat bamboo which has almost zero nutritional value.
They mate once a year; the male runs 20km to the nearest female and probably has no energy left when he arrives so the sex can’t be that great. They eventually produce a pair of offspring, then leave one to die, focusing their efforts on one. The female accidentally sits on the remaining pandalet and kills it.
Is it any wonder they’re endangered?
